The best and worst of the cable portion of the TCA press tour

Stop teasing us, MMT!

You're killing me on the Spike Lee story. How "foine" is your girlfriend? She must be hot to make Spike pause.

What article was my hero David Simon bitching about?

And will we ever get the details on your Fanchon encounter? Sounds like a front page story! ;)

Re: A&E's 'Cleaner' saves druggies

Yeah, OK. I've seen the teasers on TV, and it's probably a good show. But I say the show's name is unfortunate. Because when I first saw it, the first thing that popped into my mind is Cedric the Entertainer in "Code Name: The Cleaner"!. Probably not the connotation the producers wanted, since the movie only scored a 4% on Rotten Tomatoes.com......

HBO

Hi Mekeisha, I just saw "Gone Baby Gone" on cable and was pleasantly surprised to see our old pal "Omar" from "The Wire" in a small part. He still rules!

Mekeisha, this show sounds just as bad as Assy Mcgee enjoy the new trailer

Late Night Talk

Hola!

Did you see Kimmel when Steve Carrell was on? I think it was early last week.

I'm sure they planned it before Steve came out, but they switched around for part of the segment. Steve pretended he was Jimmy and vice versa. I think it ended up being totally "off the cuff" but it was hilarious.

Hey, what do you think about Entertainment Weekly ranking Letterman (#25) and O'Brien (mid #40's) as the top 100 tv shows of the 20th century? I was disappointed Leno was #62 but he never gets the love or is thought of as cool in the media's eyes.

Tim Russert

Thanks for the blog on Tim Russert Mekeisha, I will miss Tim Russert when he was alive, he always was welcome into my home, I have never watched another weekly news show. Meet the press was the only news show I would watch, I like his style and the way he brought news with his gotcha thing and his round table discussion was interesting too. I think Tom Brokaw should be a temporary replacement until they can find a permanent person to anchor Meet the Press.

Ooooh that Leno!

Leno was doing stupid jokes about Detroit about riots, out of control partying...and how it was before the wings won the championship.

I'm like thats so old leno lol......it was good to see Ozzie and Lindstom though.

I wrote a blog about it. Of it would've been any other sports stars though, they would have got a full segment.

I been watching Conan a lot more and I noticed Carson stole a lot of Conan's mannerisms like if a joke doesn't go over.

It's pathetic! lol

Mekeisha, awhile back you said that Terminator The Sarah Connor's Chronicle was cancelled. I heard that the show Will Be Back this fall September 8th. Care to explain follow up on this?

Samuel Allen, Detroit, MI

Hi Samuel. I think you are referring to the story I wrote about saving certain shows that COULD BE CANCELED. I also wrote a follow up story on "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" getting renewed. It ran last month. Let me know if you need the link to that. In the meantime, here's the link to the initial, save this show story: http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080329/OPINION03/803290363

Ray Crockett Great??

You might be getting this guy mixed up with Sonny Crockett! This guy was a scrub in Detroit and piggybacked Denver to get a ring.

Just don't call Joey Harrington great.

Fans of the TV show "Moonlight" are banding together around the world to find their show a new home!

Several "Moonlight" picnics & rallies are scheduled in the U.S. Saturday, June 14th, in places like New York City's Central Park, Orlando, Chicago, Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, Dallas and Portland. The idea is to raise awareness of our fight to find "Moonlight" a new home, and to let fans who may not be aware of our efforts know what we're doing and how they can get involved.

Currently our efforts are focused on getting the Sci Fi Channel to pick up "Moonlight". We're also asking DirecTV to consider helping with production costs, similar to what they're doing for NBC with "Friday Night Lights".

To find a "Moonlight" picnic and rally near you, and for more information on how you can help save "Moonlight", visit:

Lost Season Finale

As far as Lock telling Jack to lie, and then Hurley saying that he knows we're lying,

Jack did not tell the others that it was Locke who told them to lie. Of course, Hurley could just have been stating the obvious for dramatic effect early in the season.

Ben says that he can't return to the island. But he desperately wants to go back. This may be his way of redeeming himself with the island, especially if he brings six back who are suppose to be there. My question is why doesn't the island want Walt back.

Last question, the device in the ground. I am more inclined to believe that the island didn't move in space but moved in time. I chalk that up to scifi deux ex machina, hey it was either that or a de lorean.

NBA Finals

I agree. David Stern not only "got his wish", but my belief is he "orchestered the whole thing". Wish someone would start investigating the NBA and its "Hitler".

At the end of the season finale of Lost, their was a question that I been trying to figure out, who was that bald headed man in coffin at the end of the finale of Lost?

Re: Sex and the City Movie

Uh, Mekeisha! Sex and the City the Movie review is suppose to be Tom Long job, just like the upcoming X-Files movie is too, the tv version of Sex in the City is in your neck of the woods, as well as the old tv show cancellation of the X-Files. Are you trying to take Tom Long's Job?
