Some Tough Love for Governor Romney

We are giving Governor Romney some tough love in a video we just sent out and I wanted to pass it along:

http://www.whytuesday.org/2008/01/08/why-not-romney/

The peg is this: 13 of 16 presidential candidates have responded on our vlog to our "Candidate Challenge" and discussed how to increase voter participation. Governor Romney, Senator Thompson and Mayor Giuliani are the only candidates that haven't responded. We chose to put this video about the Governor out because of our repeated attempts - and his (and his camp's) repeated refusal to talk about an issue vital to the health of our democracy: voter turnout. We reached out to the Governor via snail mail, e-mail to multiple staffers including his scheduler, two conversations with Kevin Madden, and two encouters with the Governor himself.

David Brook's piece in the Times recently (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/01/opinion/01brooks.html?_r=1&oref=slogin) really resonated with our group given the trouble we've had trying to connect with Governor Romney about this issue.

Best,

Jacob Soboroff

We value your feedback, so please let us know if you have any questions or problems.

Threading in forums

We are working on adding threading to the forums. Clicking on the headline of a post will now get you related posts in a few different ways.

- If the post was sent to us in response to an article, clicking on that post's headline will retrieve all comments on that article, and clicking on the "See related article" link will send you to the article itself.

- If the comment was submitted in response to a cybersurvey, clicking on the headline will take you to the cybersurvey and its related comments.

- If you click on the headline of a forum post that was simply posted in the forum, you will get all posts with that same headline.

If you want to add a comment to a thread in the forum, use the same headline as the post to which you want to respond.

If you find a problem, please tell us, and thanks in advance for your patience as we work to improve the forums for you.
