Anybody out there actually driven the new challenger?..if so, I want to hear about it..I know they are arriving this month...Unfortunately, market timing could be an issue...anyway, want to hear your real time experience with the car.

Highest Mileage Car?

I just read this: >Posted Tue, Sep 4, 2007 at 1:47 PM by Larry Edsall >Does anyone out there have a car, and it doesn`t matter what fuels it, >that beats Schmid`s in total mileage?

I suggest you contact Irv Gordon, who lives on Long Island NY. Irv is still driving his 1966 Volvo 1800S, which has over 2 Million documented miles. I believe he holds the worlds record.

Dream Cruise gets new prez

As reported in The Detroit News: Bloomfield Hills City Commissioner Dale Dawkins has been selected as the new president of Woodward Dream Cruise Inc., the nonprofit charged with running the annual summer event. Dawkins takes the helm at a critical time for the Dream Cruise. Last month, Joel Epstein left as executive director. Moreover, the board is reviewing an offer by a federally funded program, MotorCities National Heritage Area, to take over operation of the Cruise and pay up to $400,000 of the cost.

Good luck Dale!

New group could take Dream Cruise wheel

This sounds like a real winner and with funds they have available, there is new hope some of the burden will be taken off cities feeling the economic pinch.

The Dream Cruise and Detroit

For some readers, I'm sure it was a blow to see the story on Oct. 2 saying the Woodward Dream Cruise won't expand into Detroit.

Id like to remind some and inform others that one week after the Dream Cruise, the Detroit Festival of Speed and Style was held in downtown Detroit. Thousands of people saw 128 classic cars, hot-rods and motorcycles on display in and around beautiful Campus Martius Park. As the organizer of this event, I was grateful to get technical advice from both the Dream Cruise and MotorCities National Heritage leadership. Being a lifelong car enthusiast, I was also delighted to see this event draw every possible ethnicity - Black, White, Hispanic, Indian - all ages from the tri-county area.

"We'll do it again, bigger and better, in 2008. So, let me say in advance: Dream Cruisers, c'mon down Woodward Avenue to see great cars in Detroit". Marvin Towns Jr. Founder, Detroit Festival of Speed and Style

Will Chrysler let Mopar muscle atrophy?

I already think that GM has lost its mind with the losses of the camaro and firebird (soon to return aftet they noticed their costly mistake) chrysler is about to do the same thing. When will the big 3 realize. We here in america live on tradition, loyality and most of all POWER. Something the asian, german or any other market has. Leave MOPAR alone. Let the heratige live where it belongs. Harold R. Coffee

Threading in forums

We are working on adding threading to the forums. Clicking on the headline of a post will now get you related posts in a few different ways.

- If the post was sent to us in response to an article, clicking on that post's headline will retrieve all comments on that article, and clicking on the "See related article" link will send you to the article itself.

- If the comment was submitted in response to a cybersurvey, clicking on the headline will take you to the cybersurvey and its related comments.

- If you click on the headline of a forum post that was simply posted in the forum, you will get all posts with that same headline.

If you want to add a comment to a thread in the forum, use the same headline as the post to which you want to respond.

If you find a problem, please tell us, and thanks in advance for your patience as we work to improve the forums for you.
