Breast Cancer 3-Day
I too am registered for the Breast Cancer 3-Day this September here in Michigan. This will be my first and I too am celebrating because I am now a 5 year survivor. I struggle with gaining distance but make sure I am walking everyday. Good luck on your 10 mile walk this weekend, I am not near that mark and while I'm concerned -I'm not going to let it discourage me .. I just keep walking.
Recently I started going to a new dentist and, typical, completed a health history and met the hygenist. After reading my history she suddenly shared that her mother had had breast cancer and that she herself had not been for her mammogram in 6 years out of fear. We had a long conversation and before I left she said she was so happy we'd met and that she was scheduling her mammogram that day. You never know what you are meant to do or where you are meant to be in your life but things happen for a reason and I now can't wait to get back to see her and make sure she followed through on her promise.
Good luck on your continued good health and 3-Day training. By the way, my nephew is Scott Burgess, auto critics.
Thanks -Denise Drake

Thanks for your blog entries, they are very inspirational. My group is sponsoring a breast cancer awareness health fair at Motor City Harley in Farmington on July 23, 2008 from 3-7pm. Hope you can make it. This survivors and support group ride motorcycles across country to raise awareness and money for breat cancer cure research, their name is DIVAS riding for a cure.

Jodie,
I'm so excited to hear you are walking the 3 Day. I have been reading your Blog since October and have been amazed at your strength and courage.
The 3 day is a truly amazing experience. This will be my 3rd walk and I'm continuously in awe of all the survivors, walkers and supporters!!
I hope your 10 miles went well on Sunday. We walked 10 on Saturday and we are continuing to train and train and train :)
I'm sure you have many different resources but if you have any questions about the 3 Day, please feel free to ask. I'd love to help!! My e-mail address is sgyolai@sbcglobal.net
Congrats on your fundraising. It's so much easier when you don't have to worry about that part of it and can focus on training and the walk!!

Breast Cancer 3-Day
Jodie -
I am so happy to read you are training for the 3-day. Maybe we'll meet during this event. I am training with some women here in Cleveland, but walking in Detroit since that is where I grew up and where my whole family lives. I can't wait for this event. I've heard it is so inspiring and really unforgettable. I've reached my fundraising goal already, but plan on making as much as I can to put towards finding a cure and raising awareness. It's so important. Congratulations for deciding to sign up! You'll also start to feel wonderful getting in shape after all the grueling surgeries, chemo and radiation. Keep it up!
I'm Done! (Jodie Wilson)
Congrad!!! I knew you would make it through. You're a very strong woman. Continue to look forward, you have such a bright future ahead; stay postive and stay strong. The next story I would love to read: How I made through child birth!
May God continue to bless you and your husband!

I AM DONE!
Congrats Jodie! You've handled this with a great attitude and I hope you stay healthy and happy the rest of your long life!
All done!
All I can say is AWESOME! Isn't it the best feeling in the world to know that you, little ole you, tackled big bad cancer and kicked it in the proverbial ass!??! AWESOME!! Way to go Jodie! Now go grab some friends, find a patio, order some martinis and toast your accomplishments! (I just got came in from that scenario an hour ago and it was fun to be normal again) And I love your new hairdo - I am sporting the same GI Jane look - very sassy and perfect for the summer months ahead.
Congrats to you and enjoy your new outlook on life!

CELEBRATE!!
Dear Jodie,
I too am a breast cancer survivor(1 year)and have read your entire blog as you have gone through your journey. Like you, I have gone through surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation and physical therapy. I continued to work while going through it all. I was at the Race for the Cure this year, and last, with my family and friends. Faith, hope, family/friends and courage have seen me through it all! Congratulations on the end of your treatment! Enjoy family and friends and don't worry about the "small stuff". Every day if a gift to all of us! God bless you and your family!
Thank you for sharing your blog with all of us. You have inspired many people!

To your restored health!
Jodie, this is such a joyous time for all of us. Seeing you with your new "do" and a smile that lights up the western hemisphere is a rush.
Seeing Ellie suffering patiently through a scrub down is darn funny.
And you got to meet someone special this week, too! Remember you, too, by sharing your ups, downs and sideways, the nitty gritties, the fear factor and the practical data have also impacted people you may never know. Nah, you are not so special...oh yes you are!!
Sydney & Trent are so excited to be seeing you & Bob in just a few weeks! Meantime I'm off to see a dear friend of over 30 years in Ireland. And Bob should be jealous that I'll get in a round of golf at Royal Portrush. (I have no idea, but it sounds so lah dee dah.)
Love you loads,
Auntie Suz and the West Coast cheering section
