This is generally the result when the pollsters allow personal interests or bias to infiltrate their methods, whether intentional or unintentional.

Statistical dead heat? Nonsense. What is the probabilty that you get a sample with proportions O=47 to M=44 from a population in which the proportion of 0 is greater that the proportion of M? Hint: its bigger than the probability that tthe proportion of M is greater than the proportion of O. You want a poll? Look at the Iowa market. These are gtamblers who are risking actual money on the proportion of Dem votes. The Dems lead all season. Similarly, look at Obama-Clinton. True in small things means true in large things (Thomas Acquinas). Always bet on the bigger battalions. Sometimes they lose, but the odds are .. Poling on events 5 months ahead where 20 percent of the population have not made up their minds and another 20 per cent weakly hold opinions pretty hopeless, but there is a law in politics that the leader wins unless a disaster happens. Once people make up their minds, it takes an earthquake for them to change. This stubbornness is critical. A candidate doesn't have to stay in his base, he can go and try to get those who adhere weakly to his opponent. The lead by Obama is larger when you add Nader and Bar. Surprising. I guess Nader gets support in Blue states, and Barr in Red, so they probably will have minimal effect. Don't bet everything on Obama, but that is what the smart money is telling us. When it really gets down and direty and the mud comes out on McCain -- his adulteires, wife abandonment, inconsistency, his admitted war crimes, his confession under torture, he looks like a weak, immoral, narcissitic, obnoxious, troubled old man. He has many enemies who hate him,, and his friends don't like him. The only thing that makes him stand out is his baling out over Vietnam after he had decided to stop bombing women and children, and spending 5+ years as a prisoner of some real monsters. It will hurt, joining in the destruction of the reputation of a man with some truly admirable traits. But it will be done, and no one will see Obama fingerpreints on it. We will have to look carefully at the fitness of his VP runnng mate. McCain is a prima donna who will pick some one even weaker than himself. There he has a wide choice. Maybe Giuliani for a matched pair of truly dangerous head cases.
Bill is ticked
Too bad. After the Paul v Clinton 17 million dollar civil lawsuit is decided, he may have to borrow car fare after Hillary lent much of their cash in the futile effort to keep up with new kid in town. The testimony so far paints a pretty damning picture of Bill negotiating while in office for post-presidential rainmaking for Paul. Paul was stuck with fronting and paying for the very expensive Last Goodbye for Bill and it, and some other business blunders bankrupted him. Hillary is a witness, but her testimony is delayed until after November, maybe forever. The judge was appointed by Bill. Bill apparently forgets political favors, but judges rarely do. I would think Bill would knock himself out for Obama. This is a civil suit, but testimony may create a prima facie case on some kind of campaign violation, or any one of a number of offenses. Bill better than most knows how a pardon can come in handy, and the next president is the only one capable of delivering.

How can the Republican Conservative Movement support McCain when it is blatantly obvious he IS a Liberal Democrat on the important issue of "global warming". His idea, as so stated in recent speaches, that "human caused" increases in Carbon Dioxide can be slowed by imposing TAXES (Tax Credits worldwide thru the United Nations) as a way to slow a natural process is unsupportable, and INSANE. I suggest Mr. McCain go back to school real quick and learn up on the topics of Physics, Chemistry, and Geological time. When the Norsemen came to North America the land we now call Greenland had NO ICE. Now we are finding commutities under several hundred feet of ICE. Did that occur during a cycle that you think was caused by man? Did man cause the Ice Age? Can man cause warming on a Global scale? The environmental BIG Government crowd thinks so. And PREACHES it in our schools to the future taxpayers of America. Even more importantly for John McCain, this issue is the BIGGEST ear mark of them all!....All from a man who pledged to "veto any bills that have earmarks". What a joke he has become to the Conservative cause founded by Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan. I suggest that voters go out and SUPPORT conservatives in the House & Senate, and leave McCain behind. Why? Because it IS the House of Representatives that controls the money which the President signs off on. It is the Senate that approves the judges who then interpret our laws. These are the REAL issues in this campaign season. Not Hillary. Not Obama. Not Mccain.
That so-called debate on ABC was a disgrace...
Barach Oboma was a follower of the Reverend Wright for a number of years and has talked on the good things the minister has done (in his opinion) but not much about the false accusations made by him and his church concerning their concern for the egregious acts they claim were committed by the U.S. Govt.
Now Barrach is affiliated with George Soros -his second and current mentor- whose views about our society and politics are well known by the liberal community. The latest speech made by Barach closely reflect George's views on his political science views namely the validity of our constitutional rights including- the right to bear arms and freedom of religion. Both of these are basic rights and not up for debate by anybody including junior senators.
I remember the Communists used to refer to our freedom of religion as a narcotic of the masses' .I am concerned that Barach's reference to religeon was a trial balloon to see how the public will react to Barach's/ George Soros political science opinions and the direction they want the United States to go. From what I have heard, the response hasn't been favorable to Oboma remarks and has instead resulted in a greater scrutiny by the citizens of the United States of his views, and his mentors namely the Reverend Wright-advisor on anti American views and George Soros- financial support, Tony Rezo- indited fixer and William Ayers- unrepentant terrorist.

Hilary's Woman Problem
This is one woman who can't stand HER. She is not a person of integrity. She is not a Barbara Jordan, not a Jeanne Kirpatrick nor a Margaret Thatcher nor a Golda Meir. Give me a woman like one of them and she MIGHT get my vote. I don't like Hilary and I never have. I don't like what she espouses and I also can't stand her particular spouse. I don't vote for a candidate based on what their gender/race is and I am appalled that people can be so one sided. I vote on issues AND the character of the individual running on those issues.

Not because of anything Hillary has said or done, nor because of the fact that her campaign is surviving on life support because of all the mischievous Republican voters who keep voting for her, hoping to prolong the Democratic nomination process, but because he has more delegates, more votes, and more victories, and because she can't catch him.

That so-called debate on ABC was a disgrace to journalism and the American public. With all the problems we have in this country related to the endless war in Iraq, or tanking economy, and the rapidly eroding standard of living of our middle-class, were questions about Reverend Wright's patriotism the only things ABC could think to ask? Dear Lord, we have no future if the largest "news" organizations in America are sweeping our problems under the rug. We need a complete overhaul of the journalism industry in this country.
