Eating natural foods which aren't processed like vegetables and fruits are known to promote health. But today nobody cares until they a health problem. There are so many good things that nature has to offer which can keep us healthy and fit. Today every thing has changed so have are eating habits. There is a mushroom known as Reishi or Ling zhi which has been used in China for centuries and known as "King of herbs". It not only detoxifies cells but also regulates body functions. You can get more information on Ganoderma Lucidum at http://www.healthyganoderma.com There are many other herbs too which aren't processed like Spirulina which is also known as "Super Food" as it provides a variety on nutrition from various food groups. Health isn't a measurable thing but to some extent an outcome of our lifestyle. Enjoying natural foods helps a lot in retaining it.

Increased Cigarette Prices Don't Discourage Low-Income Smokers
I've never seen price increase work very well to deal with "addictions" or "drugs" (every addict I've worked with has said cigarettes are the toughest thing to give up). In Iceland where I come from cigarettes and alcohol are ten times more expensive than in the US, yet alcoholism is a much more common over there than here. Smoking is similar but the changes came from social pressure and awakening how unhealthy smoking is. Warm regards, Christian Goodman http://ChristianGoodman.com

This is one of those studies which makes me skeptical of studies! Not only did I have braces myself when I was younger but I also sell dental plans (http://www.discountdental4u.net) to people all the time who desperately want the benefits of orthodontic braces and we all agree that to look better is to feel better and I don't care how many studies from the UK there are that say the opposite.

Another thing most women (or people for that matter) don't know about heart disease is that it can be caused by not brushing and flossing your teeth regularly. This is because "The most common strain of bacteria in dental plaque can cause blood clots that induce heart attacks when they escape into the bloodstream..." Thanks so much for this reminder to all of us about sun protection. Unfortunately, the incidence of sunburns is going up in the US at the same time that consumers are hearing that many sunscreen products are ineffective or carry harmful substances, with only 17 percent of products hitting the mark. Consumers should look for products that specifically state they provide protection against both UVA and UVB rays. Many products do not provide significant protection against UVA rays, the rays that are increasingly being implicated in melanoma, and are more insidious since they don't tend to cause burning as quickly as UVB rays. Ingredients approved in the US for UVA protection include mexoryl (found in a L'Oreal product) and helioplex (found in several Neutrogena products). Since sunscreen products do not carry the same form of regulation regarding claims as say, pharmaceutical products, it is up to consumers to sort through and find a product that is effective and safe, lest they use a products that simply gives them a false reassurance that they are safe in the sun. Great tips for a safe weekend! A few more ideas to help "cancer-proof" the holiday. Choose a sunscreen that protects against UVA rays as well as UVB. Sunscreens that only screen out UVB rays may prevent sunburn, but have not been shown to lower the risk of the deadliest skin cancers. Products that have dual protection include the sunblockers zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, and sunscreens which contain either mexoryl SX (in L'Oreals Anthelios SX), or helioplex (in several Neutrogena products). And, marinate meats before barbequing. Studies have shown an elevated risk of pancreatic cancer with consumption of grilled meats. Marinating meats for 40 minutes prior to barbequing can lower the content of heterocyclic amines substantially. Have a great holiday! I often tell my clients: "Just Do It!" I've never experienced couple in committed relationship regretting having had sex (except for the consequences once in a while). It's like going to the gym, you're sometimes lazy to go there but afterwards you're always happy you went. It's amazing how often little or no sex becomes an "old habit" in a relationship. Especially after a baby is born. And often both partners actually want more but do not address it. SO JUST DO IT! My 2c, Christian Goodman http://ChristianGoodman.com

The most important next step for someone diagnosed with cancer is to get a second opinion on the pathology. Like other medical disciplines, pathology is particularly specialized. The experts in prostate and breast cancers see hundreds of such biopsies monthly compared to the few seen by pathologists in local community hospitals. So, seek a second opinion. Pathology labs will send slides for a second opinion without question-these are your slides! for more information see bestprostatecancerinformation.com. Dr. K

I have found information on something called Xanthones that has had a profound effect on Fibromyalgia. There are 200 known Xanthones known to man. However, there is a fruit grown in Asia that has over 40 of these Xanthones in them. The fruit is called Mangosteen. It is not to be confused with a Mango. It is something altogether different. Xanthones has major effects on Cancer, Diabetes, High Blood Pressure and the list goes on and on. You can go to a public scientific website called www.pubmed.com to find the hundreds upon hundreds of scientific research done on Xanthones. To get the fruit is not sold in the U.S. However, it is sold in the form of juice. To get it goto www.EverybodyLovesMangosteen.com

Dr Perricone writes in his book about the top superfoods in the world that defy aging. The Acai Berry is the # 1 superfood in his book. Monavie is an amazing juice made up of 19 fruits of which the main ingredient is the Acai Berry. Just 2 oz daily of this juice contains 30 times the antioxidants of an 8oz glass of wine! Some people buy the gel packs and use them as facials! This product is so high in anthocyanins that it defends against premature wrinkles! The Acai Berry also acts as an astringent leaving your skin feeling tingly fresh. And finally the Acai's phytosterols help reduce the erosion of the skin's protective coating.
