Michigan head coach Lloyd Carr and Ball State head coach Brady Hoke, a former Michigan assistant coach, meet at midfield after the game to exchange good wishes. Hoke's Cardinals played admirably against the second-ranked team in the nation, scoring more points, 26, against the Wolverine defense than any other team this season.
