PT Sorry no game reports 4 MLK n Dakota

Hello Everybody in forum land!! Was unable to get out to the MLK vs Osborn game sounds like it was great defensive battle Osborn winning 7-0. Tom great details on the Dakota game I enjoyed reading!! Anyone catch the MSU game? Keshawn Martin number 82 wide receiver for MSU got in on 5-6 plays and returned the last kickoff 30 yards! Keshawn Martin played football and basketball for John Glenn last year and is a true freshmen. Coming attractions some of the video from my trip to Orlando Fla AAU basketball trip will be on the website Michigan Prep Spotlight to go along with my story http://michiganpreps.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=837309.

Everyone have a great day!!

The Scene, ahem....

Hi posters, Tom W and a night at Chip Valley - how do you get into this place???? We came up Garfield from 16 mile rd to 19 mile rd and it was jammed everywhere you could see...tried to get in through the back and the traffic was all backed up in the back by the baseball field...what was this the super bowl??? Finally parked by some condos out back and walked over to another college type stadium, first time I have ever been to CV's field...Dakota keeps it going 24 wins in a row on a night where they looked very susceptible to a loss....in the first half they stumbled and fumbled and did not look like the team I saw at Ford Field last year....then when it appeared CV had them on the ropes they made adjustments to their game...holy smokes Dakota had more scouts on the top of the press box than a NFL team...it looked like a pack of pigeons all standing up there with mikes radioing down to Giannonne the necessary changes to make...game was very close most of the way with CV even leading 14-10 at the end of the third quarter....then a running back named Brandon Hughes tore out CV's heart with 2 fourth quarter TD runs to put it away, 24-14...talk about steers on the line, CV has more than their share too...if you weighed up CV and Dakota's OL and DL together it would weigh about the same as the blue water bridge!!!! Lakeview aint got this size, and woe, woe, woe, Clintondale 50, Huskies 12....arf and barf!!!!

Difference maker - Dakota makes changes quick and fast...if something does not work they do something else and quickly...running game stalls, pass, pass, if passing game fails run, run, and that razzle dazzle play for the final TD, QB fakes left and twists around quickly and hands off to a running back in split second timing to stun a defense who is not watching quickly......2.00 dollar HDs and slices of pizza at CV...is that too high??? one concession stand to handle about 7-8000 people last night...some people got mad and left the line...where were the cops after the game directing that massive traffic....dont go down Romeo Plank or Cass Avenue, more orange barrels than hot dogs at the stadium on those streets....under construction. And Stevenson routs Ike 42-7, I am sure that is the largest point spread ever in that series over the years....looks like the Dakota/Stevenson game will shape up as a big, big game in a few weeks. Al's grandson Jason passed for 300 yards and 3 TDs in the air....dont know if anyone has ever put up those kind of stats against Ike ever before....and Romeo is 2-0 in MAC RED with smashing of Ford II 36-0.....looks like Romeo is making a statement they belong in the MAC RED.....and Wom and FF, make sure and remind me when the Rice/DLS game is....that is one I want to see.....

All you div 2 people - watch out for Rochester Adams...they look as tough as ever, last night they pasted Stoney Creek 56-21, but they are giving up some serious points as well....61 given up in two games....I dont think they can afford to do that against Rice and win...Musky or Hudsonville either...we will see. Go Tigers - another hapless, non descript loss to Minny last night...they will be lucky to draw 15000 fans a game in the month of Sept at Copa....I will go down though to see the Devil Rays at the end...wonder what Illitch is thinking about this bunch???

Is Leyland safe???? duh......I would be worrying if I was Chuck Hernandez...later, Tom and peace to all.

pimp

Rice plays at Muskegon at 4:00 tomorrow so it is not too late. I have to work so I will miss it. I will pick Musky by 10. I hear that they are solid. No huge stars but solid all around. West Michigan is looking good so far this year. E. Grand Rapids rolled again tonight along with Lowell. Hudsonville might be the best over here.

KVCC coming for ya Eastsiders! Pimp game of week!

The pimp hit up the South Lyon-Milford game tonight!

Un-announced tour stop. I respectfully passed, without an RSVP , on the Porterhouse, and went and ate a couple solid hot dogs at the South Lyon concession stand.

Guess what Milford ate?

You guessed it folks. SOUTH LYON!!!!!! ON THEIR HOME FIELD.

40-14!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunatly nobody told South Lyon that they would be playing the University of Milford, and not the previously scheduled Milford highschool. Un friggin real. 60 plus kids on the squad. ALL BEASTS!!!!!!!!

Rich Rod should go watch Milford run the spread.

South Lyon reminded me of a Ron English Defense( former gap toothed um d coordinator)

HEY DAKOTA SLAPPIES AND DAKOTA MOM,

enjoy your win tonight, but MILFORD's gonna bend you over!!! SARAH PALIN STYLE!!!!!!

Fri. 09/5/08 10:24 PM

The Scene, ahem.....

Hi posters, it's me again, Tom W. and I guess I was remiss in not mentioning the big games, GP North vs. GP South....this has been pretty much a rivalry in name only in FB - in baseball the two teams are usually as closely matched as two bookends. AnotherEastsider I am not the most cordial person to meet from what some people have told me but if we ever meet I hope it finishes with a handshake...like I said when it comes to pugilism I am a sissy...How is big Frank doing at North??? The word is he is going to retire from GP NOrth in the year 2089.....

Has been North's BA and FB coach for a l---ooo---ng time.

AE maybe you and GPNDadDLS grad can get together and stir up some old BM stories at the game tonight. Everyone I know of is picking Stevenson to beat arch rival Ike tonight, because Ike's QB is supposed to be out of action...not so fast....Ike is a wounded lion and you always need to look out for a wounded animal...they can recoil....this game may be a lot closer than most think...and Stevenson QB Fracassa needs to come up too with a big, big game...Stevenson by 2 pts in my book. GP North 28, South 10 in my book.

And Boeing 747 if what you say is true about the capital expenditure program at U of D and if they have 700 students, good for them...I hope they stay open...closing any school has always been a very emotional thing with a lot of hard feelings involved...there was a kid in my hood (10 mile and Harper) who had to relocate schools when Bishop Gallagher closed many moons ago in Harper Woods, and he chose Lakeview. He always told me of the camaderie he had with the kids at BG. Last top notch athlete at Lakeview as I recall was Mitch Fleming who was a top, very top baseball player and an all county golfer way back, maybe in the mid to latter 90s....may have been the best BA player ever at Lakeview. Everything he hit was a smoking line drive...anyone remember him??? Guess what, I was thinking of BM the other day....went to Nino's on Harper for some shopping and a 65 or 66 GTO went zipping down Harper Avenue...some young girl no less driving it!!!

Must have been her dad's car....I always remember that Dodge Omni I had in the 70s....what was a worse piece of junk, the Omni or a Chevette...you guessed it - I owned both of those clunkers at one time. The early to mid 90s Ford Escorts were lousy too.....my sister junked one on I94. Any one you guys out there think Lakeview can make it to Ford Field this November???? I am dreaming and hoping...nothing wrong with that is it??? Later, Tom and peace to all.

GPN - GO NORTH!

AE, I of course will be there. What happened to your cop buddy on mlive? I saw he askedyou a question earlier in the week and the whole post was removed. Who is the GPS distraction?????

Fri. 09/5/08 01:35 PM

GPN - GO NORTH!

After all that cutting and pasting and coloring - "Big" came out "BIKE". Maybe that will be his new name when he gets banned again and comes back a third time.

Fri. 09/5/08 01:30 PM

GPN - GO NORTH!

Since Tom Winslow (Big Mike) can say the same thing over & over again, I thought I would requote myself:

"I love going to watch football at GP North. One of my fondest memories was meeting Bike Mike 2 years ago (and his posse). I neglected to make a copy of his driver's license that day and I am sure he does not even remember me. But, I will track him down some day and his invisible friend Tom Winslow. He will then be able to privately admit to me "off the record" that they are one and the same and all will be forgiven. But until then, LOOK OUT!"

GPN - GO NORTH!!
